Advice for Road Runners: The Brooks Women's Ghost Max 2 Running Shoes are designed for runners seeking cushioned protection and a smooth, reliable ride. 

The original Ghost Max proved to be very popular. The improved cushioning in the Ghost Max 2 should make the midsole more comfortable for more runners. 

Underfoot Feel

The Ghost Max 2 has a midsole made of Brooks' nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3 cushioning. This should feel soft and protective underneath your feet.

A broad base, coupled with raised side walls, creates inherent stability - meaning that the outsole and midsole provide a stable base from which to land and push off from. However, for the avoidance of doubt, the Ghost Max 2 are considered to be neutral road running shoes.

A key feature of the design is the GlideRoll Rocker. This technology should help you to move from landing to toe-off with greater ease and efficiency. If you have tight calf muscles, you may find the GlideRoll Rocker to be particularly helpful. 

Upper Fit

There is a significant amount of volume in the upper; therefore, it is very unlikely that you will find the upper to feel restrictive. The upper also has a linear last construction, which helps to accommodate the shape of an orthotic. 

Ideal Run Type

The Brooks Women's Ghost Max 2 Running Shoes are likely to be most suitable for slow and steady road runs. From a design and technology perspective, the emphasis on protection should make them a great choice for long training runs.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
